The rest of the summer in a nut shell...

Well I have been behind for awhile now and am continuing my quest for a completely updating blog (which is kind of my personal holy grail at the moment...). So I am summing the rest of the summer up right now so I can move on to fall and hopefully be caught up so I can actually blog about Halloween immediately following the actual event instead of 2-3 months later... So here goes!!

My bad to the bone baby!

Jordyn with her "porcupine" gloves, (that's what she calls pine cones *lol*) she loved to help us pick them up from the yard. She is a really good little helper!!

New pool!! We did A LOT of swimming this summer!!

Jordyn with her fish she caught =)

Feeding the ducks and geese from a safe distance *lol* they are pretty feisty!

We had a lot of fun this summer and these are only a few highlights besides the vacations and what nots but I hope you enjoy them anyway!! Now we can move on to fall!!

The zoo for Grandma's birthday!!

My mom's birthday is the 28th of August and the celebration for this year took place at the zoo, which is a very good place to spend ones birthday if I do say so myself. Anyway we went in the morning and ended up staying almost 4 hours, it was a great day full of sun, animals and treats!! The best part was all the cute baby animals! We got to see the baby giraffe, snow leopard, meer cats, tigers, and a few others. The sloth was even out!! Who could ask for more? Here are some pictures of the highlights:

Maybe the tounge is for balance... *lol* whatever the reason it's pretty cute!!

Riding on the train with grandma and papa, oh and with her new foosa. If you don't know what a foosa is you better head to the zoo!!

The obligatory family picture I put everyone through everywhere *lol*

Yep you see it right, Bri's arms are almost as long as that gorillas =)

Round 2... this time with papa! She conned them each into going on a ride with her *lol*

Jordyn and Grandma on the carousel. Round 1...

This bird just hopped right out onto my moms finger, it was awesome!!

"Haha you can't see me..." The baby snow leopard was playing right up by the glass, it was so cute!!

The baby giraffe followed us in from outside and came right up and was looking at Jordyn, it was really neat!!

The birthday girl with Bri and Jordyn in front of the rhino's, "like in James" (James and the Giant Peach is one of Jordy's fav movies *lol*

Dino Museum and Bear Lake!!

Again, sorry this is so long in coming but better late then never, right? Anyway as previously discussed this summer my family from Texas came up for a couple weeks and we did lots of fun stuff as a family. We went to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum, courtesy of Jared and we were able to spend a weekend at our family condo in Bear Lake. It was lots of fun!! At the dino museum we saw all the cool fossils and displays as well as played a ton at the sand and water table thingy. We made a very beautiful lake and island *lol* and yes it was mostly us big kids... At Bear Lake we spent a lot of time at the beach and playing games. It is always fun to go up there to get away and it was an added bonus to have Jeff and Em be able to go with us this time.

Jordyn and Brian (he's being kind of a fem raptor or something... *lol*)
