Cheyenne Rides Again!!

This summer we finally got out my old horse "Cheyenne" for Jordyn and put it on the back deck. She LOVES it!! It makes me smile to remember how much fun I used to have on him as a little girl, I would rock and rock as hard and as fast as I could and try to get his nose to touch the ground and Jordyn is just as crazy!! It's weird to think about being that young, I would never have dreamed my little girl would one day be riding my friend again. Life is just crazy like that =)

Big Sky Country '10

We took our annual trip to Montana this past summer and it was as great as ever. We had nice weather for the most part, no fires and lots of excitement (mostly good but some not so good...) We enjoyed playing in the water (Jordyn), golf (Bri), sitting in the sun (Jen), going on the boat, logging, lots of good food, redoing the horseshoe pit (which lead to lots of games of horseshoes), good company, turtle rescues, snake & frog catching, rock throwing (Jordyn again) and lots of beautiful scenery. I always enjoy coming home after vacation, especially week long vacations but it's always so hard to leave Seeley Lake behind. I love everything about it, especially the peace and quite that only rural Montana can offer. I truly am enchanted with big sky country. I would love to spend my summers there every year, not the winters although I'm sure they are charming in their own right. I had never been to Montana nor would I probably ever have gone if Brian's family didn't have ties there and I'm so glad that they do, I can't imagine my life without it now that I've had it. Deep down (ok not that deep down...) I really am a country girl. One dream of mine is to have a ranch in this beautiful state where I can have all the horses, dogs and other animals that I want. If you have never heard Chris LeDoux's song "Western Skies" you should take a minute to listen to it and it will help to show the love I feel for this, one of Gods greatest creations, Montana.

Dan & Pauline get hitched!!

My cousin Danny was married this past June to a wonderful girl named Pauline Hobbs, she is just perfect for him and we are all so thrilled to have her as part of our family!! Their wedding was a special one for Brian and I as well due to the fact it was the first time we were able to attend a temple wedding ceremony. It was amazing to be there with them when they were sealed together forever as a family. And of course I'm now counting down the days of more babies in the family =)

The happy couple =)

And now you're stuck with me even after we die...

Brian and I were married on May 17, 2005 in my aunt and uncle's backyard by my Stake President, Pres. Baer. It was, of course, a wonderful day and we have been very happy but it wasn't the temple. It took us 5 years and 1 monster, I mean child, later to get our butts in gear and become an eternal family. So on May 15, 2010 we went together as a family to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple to get sealed. It was kind of funny to be using my maiden name again but it was only for 2 days. We had a wonderful experience Friday evening when Brian and I took out our endowments surrounded by family and friends. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had been led to believe =) then on Saturday moring with even more family and friends we did our sealing. It was incredible, President Christensen was fabulous and our little Jordy bear looked just like an angel, and actually acted like one as well which was a HUGE miracle and an answer to very fervent prayers! I can not think of a better way to celebrate our 5 years of marriage then to make it officially forever!! We are so very blessed in so many ways. Families truly can be together forever!!

Together Forever!!

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

Jordyn and I were able to go with my parents this year to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point for the first time. Even though Brian wasn't able to go with us we had a great time and hope to make it a yearly tradition. Hopefully next year Brian will be able to come even though "flowers aren't his thing". There are so many amazing things to see and it's all so beautiful, my photography doesn't begin to do it justice!!

She was beside herself waiting thru lunch and then the drive to the park. Other then the wind being on the chilly side we had a really fun day!!
