In an attempt to catch up so that I can actually blog about current events I am going to do a few bigger "by season" posts. Why, you may ask, don't I just give up and start right now? Well because I have a smidgen of OCD and I fear I would never be able to live with myself, that's why. Now that I've shared that strange bit of neuroses with you I'll get on with the good stuff... the pictures!!
I am once again REALLY behind but I will try to do better. I promise. Anyway this summer the Hogel Zoo had a dinosaur exhibit which was really awesome. There were dinosaurs all over the zoo that looked real, it was really fun wandering around looking for them. Jordyn wasn't to sure about the noisy ones but once she realized she was a LOT louder then they were she was fine :)
Lookin' styling at the zoo!!
For some reason I find this picture incredibly funny...
This poor little girl had no idea what was going on *lol*
We went to a friends wedding and they had the cutest little photo booth set up, it was so much fun!! You put on some sort of crazy accessory and then hopped in the booth and did your thing, they then printed two sets of the pictures for you, one to keep and one to paste in their guest book. It was awesome!! Brendan (the one getting married) is the little brother of our good friends, Lindsay and Levi, so we had fun playing in the photo booth with them and their darling little Ava. If I had known they were going to have this fun thing we would have taken Jordyn with us, she would have loved it!! The pictures were to funny not to share...
Levi, Lindsay, Ava, Brian and me!!
This the one that we put in the book, aren't we just the awesomest?!
During our trip to St. George this spring we went on a little hike (not so much a hike as a nice long stroll) on the Temple Quarry Trail which is where the pioneers got the rock for the St. George temple. It was really fun to see all the wheel marks and other things left behind by our ancestors. The best part was walking with my grandpa and hearing all the stuff he knows. I'm pretty sure he knows EVERYTHING there is to know about St. George! I learned more in those couple hours then I could have anywhere else. Plus it's always special when I get to spend time with my Pa =) Jordyn loved it and I think she ran a good portion of the way there but after that she needed a little daddy help to make it back to the car. All of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our little hiking party included Brian, Jordyn, my mom, my dad, my grandpa and my uncle Greg. And to top it off the sunny weather was a very welcome break from all the gloomy weather we had been having back home!!
Let's see, me in a nut shell... I'm 28 and have been married to my hubby, Brian, for 6 years. I have a 4 year old daughter named Jordyn Lyle, a beagle named Beamer, and a kitty named Zilla. I LOVE to read, that would be my favorite thing in life along with laying out in the hot, hot sun!! I like games with family and friends, watching scary movies, tortilla soup from Cafe Rio, donuts, DISNEYLAND, traveling, my pillow, hoodies, my electric blanket... well you get the gist. Anyway to sum it all up I have the cutest kid in the world, a studly and super handy husband, the BEST family in the world and awesome friends! Life is good!!
