CHRISTMAS!!! Woo hoo!!!

Does Christmas even need an explanation... =)

While we were getting Santa's milk and cookies ready Jordyn decides that she needs to share with Santa so she has a couple bites of cookie and a few drinks of milk and then says the rest is for him, it was pretty cute. So in the morning she was so excited that Santa left the last bites of cookies for her!! =)

SOOOOOO many new toys!! A princess cash register...

New Care Bears...

And even a Dora backpack!! The kid made a killing *lol*

Twas the night before Christmas...

Since Brian and I have been dating we have spent Christmas Eve with his family having an elaborate dinner, taking pictures, opening a present and new jammies for the kiddos. This year was no exception, great food, great company and lots of pictures and presents!! It was also our last year with Grandma Nome so it was an extra special treat that she could be there.

Our Tree '09

I wanted a picture of Jordyn with Beamer and Zilla but Zilla wouldn't cooperate and so I just said forget it and Jordyn was like "don't worry Mom I've got 'im" and smashes him into the tree skirt (see his tail poking out...) *lol* you can see by the look on her face she enjoyed it a little too much...

Our kids :*

COOKIES!!!!!!

Jordyn got to help Grandma make Christmas cookies this year and boy did she have a good time, right down to striping off her clothes for the frosting process. Jordyn, Grandma and I had a fun time frosting tons and tons of cookies (my mom and I kept our clothes on for this...). Not only were they beautiful they were tasty too!! Jordyn made "some special cookies for Dad, it was pretty cute =)

December FHE

In our family we take turns as families doing a monthly Family Home Evening and for December we all met at Greg and Les's house for Jordyn and Grandpa's b-days as well as their FHE. It was extra special because Jeff and Em and the boys were able to be with us as well!! The Heningers did a very cute Christmas skit about their chickens that Kelsie wrote. It was darling and all the little ones got to be involved too!! Jordyn was a pigherd (is that a word...?) and she loved every minute of it!! I think she as much fun doing that as she did opening her presents =)

Going to see Santa!!

We took Jordyn to the mall to meet Santa and she was so cute!! She told him she wanted Carebears and gave him a big hug and she did it all by her self!! I was so proud!! And while Dad and Grandpa waited in line Jordyn, Grandma and I took a ride on the Southtowne Express!!

A Time to be Thankful

There is always a reason to be thankful, even if it's in March and not November... Well it's true right? This past Thanksgiving was spent with the Minson clan, it's our year to all be together. We had a blast!! LOTS of yummy food, great company and a service project to boot! Last year we decided instead of giving gifts to everyone we would all donate a little money and buy fleece to make blankets for those in need and it went over so well we decided to do it again this year!! Everyone helps and we have a great time!! We also got to meet baby Evolet for the first time, she was SO tiny!! She was able to come from the hospital and that was definetly something to be grateful for!! I have a wonderful family and I am very thankful for it!!

Making the blankets!!

Everyone pitched in

It got a little competitive between the two groups...
